As we are waiting patiently to end this freezing winter, the fashion world is already planning our Fall 2015 wardrobes. From Ralph Lauren to Alexander Wang, great designers have rocked the runways of New York Fashion Week. Since early February, there has been some great fashion moments. From the felt stoles at Proenza Schouler to the plaid, fur sleeved house coats at Marc Jacobs. However, the fashions weren’t the only fabulous aspects of the shows. Hair and makeup were equally impressive. Here are some new makeup and hair trends from the Fall 2015 New York Fashion Week.

It’s In the Eyes

Glitter is back! Steering away from the bare faced, #wokeuplikethis trend of the Spring 2015 fashion season, makeup artists James Kaliardos at Rodarte and Diane Kendel at Carolina Herrera are bringing sparkle back. Focusing solely on the eyes, Kendel combined beaded silicone and glitter to create, according to Style.com writer Amber Kallor, a rain droplet look.

Rodarte’s artist Kaliardos created a fashion moment that will be in every beauty editorial. Not overt but a subtle line of shine, Kaliardos attached small Swarovski crystals on a small string. Kaliardos then glued the string underneath the lower lash line and swiped a nude eyeliner on the waterline. Making the eyes look bigger and brighter, no one is waiting until Fall to wear this style.

Hat’s On!

Another look to wear immediately is a beret. Seen at Marc by Marc Jacobs, this French classic has become a cool girl wear with its new updating. Designers Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier have added punk touches like gourmets, buttons and safety pins to take berets from chic to cool. Wear over bed head or a low pony for that “je ne sais quoi” look.

White Out

Nail art has become a must have for every fashionista. At the New York shows, white polish has been everywhere. Not the typical singular color or French look, nails have been smeared, lined and capped with white polish. Don’t break out the White-Out, invest in a nice white polish, fine art brush and sponge. Although these are not the most complex of styles, having the right tools are a must.
